Art reception to kick off civil war history exhibit
View an art gallery of Civil War impression paintings, learn about the Civil War across the Ozarks and discover the western border skirmishes that dotted Missouri at a series of events held at the Curtis Laws Wilson Library this summer. The Center for Infrastructure Engineering Studies (CIES) invites the campus community to attend a distinguished lecture at 8:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 23, in Room 140 Toomey Hall. The lecture, titled “Advances in concrete science in the last 50 years,” will be given by Dr. Surendra P. Shah, the Walter P. Murphy Professor emeritus of civil engineering at Northwestern University.
