NSF program director to speak Sept. 3

Dr. Kishor Mehta, a National Science Foundation program director and a member of the National Academy of Engineering, will visit campus on Wednesday, Sept. 3, to give two lectures as part of the Distinguished Lecture Series organized by the System and Process Assessment Research (SPAR) Laboratory. The campus community is invited to attend both lectures. The lecture times are as follows:

  • “Development of the EF-Scale for Tornado Intensity,” 2-2:50 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 3, in Room 260 Toomey Hall
  • “Multiple Hazard Mitigation of Infrastructure,” 4-4:45 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 3, in Room 124 Butler-Carlton Civil Engineering Hall.
