Campus library reopens, operations change

Beginning this week, part of the ground floor and second floor of  Curtis Laws Wilson Library is open for service. Furniture has been rearranged to accommodate for social distancing and face coverings are required for entrance.

Study abroad programs canceled for fall 2020

After evaluating the recommendations and advice from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the U.S. Department of State, and guidance from the UM System, Missouri S&T has decided to cancel all fall 2020 study abroad programs.

New DHS rule rescinded

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security yesterday (July 14) rescinded a rule issued on July 6 to prohibit international students from returning to or remaining in the U.S. this fall if the universities they attend adopt online-only instruction models.

New DHS rule does not affect S&T students

On Monday afternoon, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security issued a new rule that prohibits international students from returning to or remaining in the U.S. this fall if the universities they attend adopt online-only instruction models. Missouri S&T fully intends to offer on-campus instruction this fall, so this change to the Student and Exchange Visitor Program as stated does not affect students enrolling at Missouri S&T.

Face coverings required in classrooms

To help slow the potential spread of COVID-19 on campus this fall, Missouri S&T students, faculty and staff will wear face coverings in classrooms, labs and common areas or when social distancing is not possible. The requirement on face coverings goes into effect today (Wednesday, July 1) and will continue when the fall semester starts on Monday, Aug. 24.

Library to open June 1 with limited hours, operations
