Missouri S&T’s myPerformance process opened on April 2 for employees to begin completing their self-evaluations. The deadline for these self-appraisals is Sunday, April 22. Deadlines are posted online to help guide and keep the process on track.

Missouri S&T was voted into three categories in The Rolla Daily News’ “Best of Phelps County” competition. During the voting period of Sept. 18-Oct. 1, 2017, individuals could vote once daily. Missouri S&T was named the best college and S&T’s Havener Center was named the best event venue. Missouri S&T’s human resources department is the runner-up in the best employment agency category.

Sweet treats support student emergency fund
The human resources staff thanks everyone who participated in their recent cookie gram fundraiser. Staff and students delivered more than 400 cookies throughout campus on Dec. 8. The event raised more than $500 for the University Committee for Assistance, Response and Evaluation (UCare’s) Student Emergency Fund.

Send a cookie, support student emergency fund
Thank a staff or faculty member for their help this semester by sending a cookie gram. The human resources department is holding a cookie gram fundraiser to spread holiday cheer and support Missouri S&T’s student emergency fund. Orders are due Friday, Dec. 1. Cookie grams will include gingerbread cookies and handmade gift tags. They cost $1.50 for one cookie; $3.50 for three cookies and $6 for six cookies. Cold milk will be delivered with orders of $5 and more.

To meet annual training requirements, you must pass mastery tests for two courses by midnight Tuesday, Oct. 31:
- “Building a Foundation: Discrimination Prevention and Title IX” will take approximately one hour to complete. Visit us/ectraining to access the training in myLearn.
- “MakeITSafe Information Security Awareness,” will take approximately 30 minutes to complete. To access the training, log in to myHR at umsystem.edu, click on the “training and performance” section in the menu, and then click “MakeITSafe Training.” You will be directed to a Skillsoft course titled, “Security Awareness for End Users.”
Retirement reception set for Karen Chapman Oct. 27
Join the human resources staff to celebrate and recognize Karen Chapman’s 38 years of service to S&T at a retirement reception 2-4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 27, in St. Pat’s A of the Havener Center. Chapman is a strategic partner for human resources.

Shenethia Manuel, vice chancellor for Human Resources, Equity and Inclusion at Missouri S&T, successfully led the inaugural meeting of the Missouri Diversity Officers in Higher Education (MODOHE) in Kansas City, Missouri, Oct. 23-24. MODOHE is the statewide chapter of the National Association of Diversity Officers in Higher Education. Manuel is inaugural president of the recently formed organization.

Shenethia Manuel, vice chancellor for human resources, equity and inclusion (HREI) announces a reorganized divisional structure with the naming of Judy Ricks as director of human resources. She joins Neil Outar, who was hired earlier this year as director of institutional equity, diversity and inclusion. Human resources questions or concerns will now be directed to Ricks.
