In addition to the resources offered on the University of Missouri System’s activity analysis survey website, Missouri S&T provides help for staff members participating in the survey, including informational sessions, a percentage time calculator and open computer labs.

Informational sessions

The human resources staff will host informational sessions, all in Room 204 Centennial Hall, at the following times:

  • 1:30-3 p.m. Monday, Feb. 26
  • 8:30-10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 27
  • 2:30-4 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 27
  • 9-10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 28
  • 9:30-11 a.m. Thursday, March 1
  • 8:30-10 a.m. Friday, March 2
  • 1-2:30 p.m. Friday, March 2

During these sessions, the human resources staff will help employees work through the preparation tool, including finding the functions, processes and activities that relate to their positions; and assist in calculating their time spent in each area.

Percentage time calculator

A percentage tool is available on Missouri S&T’s website, http://staffcouncil.mst.edu/percent-tool/. Employees suggested the tool during an open form on Feb. 13.

Staff can use this spreadsheet tool to determine the percentage of time they spend on tasks. After downloading it, click “enable editing” at the top of the spreadsheet so that you can type within it.

Computer labs

Computer labs are open to staff members who do not have regular access to a computer or who would like a facilitator to assist them in completing their activity analysis survey. Registration is not required. Please share the computer lab schedule with any individuals who may find it helpful.

Frequently asked questions

Several questions asked during S&T’s open forum on Feb. 13 are answered in the UM System’s frequently-asked-questions document.

Additional information

Staff members are encouraged to use the available resources they find helpful. If you have questions, please feel free to speak with your manager, S&T human resources staff at 341-4241, or the HR Service Center at 800-488-5288.
