Read More »Hundreds of college students will come together for 36 hours of coding, problem solving and team building during Missouri S&T’s hackathon, ShamHacks, from Friday, Feb. 9, through Sunday, Feb. 11, in St. Pat’s Ballroom A and B of the Havener Center. Volunteers are sought to help staff the event, which will begin with an opening ceremony at 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 9, and conclude with a closing ceremony and hacker showcase at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 11. Read More »To celebrate computer science’s Golden Jubilee, the department will hold a Hackathon for Humanity (H4H) event. The campus community is invited to the hackathon kickoff, which will be held 12:30-1:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 3, in Room 209 Computer Science Building. The H4H is a competition that challenges participants to create a mobile app (iOS or Android) or a web app that is beneficial to society. There is $2,000 in prize money available to participants.
