Hundreds of college students will come together for 36 hours of coding, problem solving and team building during Missouri S&T’s hackathon, ShamHacks, from Friday, Feb. 9, through Sunday, Feb. 11, in St. Pat’s Ballroom A and B of the Havener Center. Volunteers are sought to help staff the event, which will begin with an opening ceremony at 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 9, and conclude with a closing ceremony and hacker showcase at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 11. Proceeds from the event will go to Fort Leonard Wood to help meet the needs of U.S. veterans, active duty military and their families. The event is hosted by Missouri S&T’s chapter of the Association for Computing Machinery, Curtis Laws Wilson Library, computer science department, Career Opportunities and Employer Relations (COER), and Innovation Corps (i-CORPS).
