Volunteers needed for Missouri S&T’s largest hackathon

Hundreds of college students will come together for 36 hours of coding, problem solving and team building during Missouri S&T’s hackathon, ShamHacks, from Friday, Feb. 9, through Sunday, Feb. 11, in St. Pat’s Ballroom A and B of the Havener Center. Volunteers are sought to help staff the event, which will begin with an opening ceremony at 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 9, and conclude with a closing ceremony and hacker showcase at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 11. To volunteer, please complete an online form.

Proceeds from the event will go to Fort Leonard Wood to help meet the needs of U.S. veterans, active duty military and their families. The event is hosted by Missouri S&T’s chapter of the Association for Computing Machinery, Curtis Laws Wilson Library, computer science department, Career Opportunities and Employer Relations (COER), and Innovation Corps (i-CORPS).
