50 years already? Celebrate with Cohen and Long on Sept. 12
On Sept. 1, 1968, Dr. Gerald Cohen, professor of Russian and German, and Dr. Gary Long, professor of chemistry, began teaching at Missouri S&T. The College of Arts, Sciences, and Business will host a reception to honor them for 50 years of service 3-4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12, in the second floor gallery of Curtis Laws Wilson Library. A brief program will begin at 3:30 p.m.

Dr. Gerald Cohen, professor of Russian and German, published “Reflections on Linear B (part 14) – Sign 76 (with two parallel wavy lines pronounced /ra/); possible derivation from the river traveled nightly by the sun god Ra” in Comments on Etymology in February.
