Read More »The Armed Services Blood Program will host a blood drive 1-5 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 7, in Room 301 Harris Hall. It is open to everyone age 17 and older, both military and civilian. Blood collected at this drive will go directly to medical facilities in Afghanistan and other overseas contingency areas, as well as military hospitals throughout the Department of Defense. The Armed Services Blood Program is the official blood collection agency for the Department of Defense. The Fort Leonard Wood Blood Donor Center is one of 22 facilities around the world that collects blood for the ASBP.
Read More »U.S. Army Garrison Fort Leonard Wood and Missouri S&T’s Center for Sustainability joined forces to research and implement new technologies on post. A memorandum of understanding, signed in December, identifies Fort Leonard Wood as a host installation for applied robotics and an autonomous electric bus pilot project. Missouri S&T and Fort Leonard Wood will work together to create this advanced technology demonstration capability. Fort Leonard Wood will support the initiative through coordination with on-post organizations for the use of installation infrastructure for testing and demonstration.

The forum will be held Monday, March 2, at Fort Leonard Wood’s Nutter Field House. USA Tours has donated a bus to take campus members to the forum. The bus will leave the Rolla Area Chamber of Commerce office at 4:15 p.m. that Monday. The forum will begin at 5:30 p.m. U.S. Sens. Claire McCaskill and Roy Blunt will each speak, as will state Rep. Vicky Hartzler, state Sen. Dan Brown and state Rep. Steve Lynch.
