Look to the skies tonight for fireworks, Saturn

Turn your eyes upward for two separate S&T events tonight (Monday, Sept. 17). First, watch fireworks at 8 p.m. from Havener Center’s lawn as part of the Research and Technology Development conference block party. Next, check out Saturn during an observatory open house at 9 p.m. To allow for the fireworks, parking lot M-36, located near McNutt Hall, will close at 3 p.m. today. All vehicles must be moved out of the lot by 5 p.m.

Parking lot M-36, located near McNutt Hall, will close at 3 p.m. Monday, Sept. 17, to allow for a fireworks display as part of the RTD2018 Conference. All vehicles must be moved out of the lot by 5 p.m. Monday. The fireworks show will start at 8 p.m. and is open to the public to watch from the Havener Center lawn.

Explosives campers will light up the skies above S&T during a student-produced fireworks display at approximately 8:45 p.m. Friday, June 22. Fireworks will be shot from Area M, Lot 36, west of the Engineering Research Laboratory. The parking lot will close at 1 p.m.

Fireworks displays will be visible at the Experimental Mine, located on Bridge School Road in southeast Rolla, on two Fridays in June for the conclusion of each Explosives Camp session. The fireworks will begin at approximately 8:30 p.m. Friday, June 19, and Friday, June 26. Parking is limited at the mine.
