Staff spotlight: Jim Duncan

Summer is a busy time for S&T’s landscape crew and this July will mark a milestone for the team’s supervisor, Jim Duncan. July 20 will be his 42-year work anniversary at the university. That’s right – Duncan started working at Missouri S&T in 1977. “I’ve seen a lot of changes, a lot of history,” Duncan says.

Landscape crews prepare campus to bloom

Missouri S&T’s landscape services staff has planted approximately 10,000 tulip bulbs that – if the weather is wiling – will pop up soon. This winter, the landscape services staff treated sidewalks with approximately 30,000 pounds of calcium chloride and treated parking lots with 150,000 pounds of salt.
