Landscape crews prepare campus to bloom

Missouri S&T’s landscape services staff has planted approximately 10,000 tulip bulbs that – if the weather is wiling – will pop up soon. This winter, the landscape services staff treated sidewalks with approximately 30,000 pounds of calcium chloride and treated parking lots with 150,000 pounds of salt. Crews worked overtime, weekends and nights in addition to their regular hours to lessen the impact of winter weather.
