Read More »A new plaque honoring Dr. Joseph H. Senne Jr. will be unveiled at 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 27, at Missouri S&T’s Stonehenge replica. Senne, a professor emeritus and chair of civil engineering for at S&T 20 years, died in 2016. In addition to civil engineering, he was an avid astronomer who made the astronomical calculations for S&T’s Stonehenge replica, completed in 1984.

Abbett Distinguished Chair in Civil Engineering at Missouri S&T and director of a new University Transportation Center. In his presentation, “Inspecting and Preserving Infrastructure through Robotic Exploration (INSPIRE),” he spoke about the center’s vision, upcoming research and innovative workforce training.
