Bureau of Mines buildings scheduled for demolition

Three former U.S. Bureau of Mines (BOM) buildings on campus are scheduled for demolition beginning in June as part of the university’s plans to develop a new entry to campus and new facilities for students. The three buildings are located south of the Havener Center near the intersection of University Drive and Bishop Avenue.

S&T to gather feedback on former Bureau of Mines buildings

Missouri S&T is gathering public comments and will hold an open forum at 4 p.m. today (Thursday, Feb. 18) via Zoom on university plans to demolish three buildings known as the Bureau of Mines (BOM) buildings 1, 2 and 3 on the Rolla campus. The public comment period began on Jan. 25 and will close on Wednesday, Feb. 24.

No water at Bureau of Mines buildings

Due to a system leak, water supply will be unavailable today (Monday, July 8) in Buildings 1, 2 and 3 of the Bureau of Mines. Physical facilities hopes to have water restored by the end of the day to the buildings. For more information, contact Jerry Planitz, manager of operations in facilities services, at 573-578-0399.
