Retirement reception planned for Bob Phelan
The campus community is invited to congratulate Bob Phelan for his many years of service at a retirement reception 2:30-5:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 8, in Room 116 of the Kummer Student Design Center. Missouri S&T’s music program will present its annual holiday concert at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 1, in Leach Theatre. The program will feature holiday and family favorites performed by the University Bands, Chamber Orchestra and Symphony Orchestra. The event will also include a community sing-along accompanied by the Symphony Orchestra. Tickets are free for students and children under age 18, and cost $5 each for adults. The Delta Sigma Phi House will be the site of Miner Challenge’s second annual all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 3, at 215 W. 8th Street in Rolla. All proceeds will to the Miner Challenge Alternative Break Program and support costs for travel, lodging, food, and scholarships for five upcoming volunteer trips.

The Winter 2017 commencement ceremonies will feature student speakers. Undergraduate students were invited this fall to compete for the chance to become one of four speakers. The following individuals will present their speeches during their graduation ceremony Saturday, Dec. 16, in Gale Bullman Building:
