Missouri S&T ranks No. 2 out of 50 well-known colleges for its big data programs by College Choice, placing S&T up top between Carnegie Mellon and Johns Hopkins universities. Missouri S&T’s business and information technology program offers studies in business and management systems, and information science and technology.
The rankings are based on a compilation of sources. The first one is of college freshmen polled during a nationwide survey published by the Higher Education Research Institute at UCLA. The students rated academic reputation, financial aid offerings, overall cost of school and graduate success rates in the post-college job market.
These factors were equally weighed with data from other publicly available sources, including U.S. News & World Report, the National Center for Education Statistics and PayScale.com.
Missouri S&T offers an online graduate certificate in business analytics and data science, which can be applied toward a master’s degree. Areas of concentration in S&T’s program include business analytics and data science, big data and security, or big data management and analytics.
