Learn about the building blocks for course success

Send a cookie, support student emergency fund

Thank a staff or faculty member for their help this semester by sending a cookie gram. The human resources department is holding a cookie gram fundraiser to spread holiday cheer and support Missouri S&T’s student emergency fund. Orders are due Friday, Dec. 1. Cookie grams will include gingerbread cookies and handmade gift tags. They cost $1.50 for one cookie; $3.50 for three cookies and $6 for six cookies. Cold milk will be delivered with orders of $5 and more.

Counselor candidates to give presentations

Choir to perform at Missouri Governor’s Mansion

The Missouri S&T Choir has been selected to perform at the Missouri Governor’s Mansion Candlelight Tours in Jefferson City, an annual holiday celebration typically attended by more than 3,000 individuals. The choir will perform at 7:20 p.m. Friday, Dec. 1, under the direction of Lorie Francis, associate teaching music professor.

Food and toy drive ends today

Staff Council members will collect donations for the Greater Rolla Area Community Enterprise (GRACE) Tuesday, Nov. 28. There is still time to donate today; you can drop off donations of unwrapped toys and non-perishable food in an S&T collection box. Collection boxes are located in buildings throughout campus.

Building coordinator training planned next week

University Police will provide training for Missouri S&T’s campus building coordinators. Coordinators will learn about the responsibilities of campus building coordinators and available resources. The training sessions will be held:

  • 1-2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 27, in the Carver-Turner Room of the Havener Center
  • 1-2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28, in the Carver-Turner Room of the Havener Center

United Way of Phelps County still needs our help

Missouri S&T’s campaign for the United Way of Phelps County began in early November. The United Way still needs help to meet the organization’s goal to help meet the needs of the 14 non-profits it serves. These agencies include CASA, Habitat for Humanity, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, 4-H, Senior Companions, Nutrition Site and others.
