Enter to win prizes at staff celebration, sign up for costume contest

Drop by the Fall Staff Appreciation Day 8:30 a.m.-noon Wednesday, Oct. 31, at the Puck and enter to win a door prize. All attendees are eligible to enter the prize drawing and do not need to be present to win. To get an extra ticket for the prize drawing, bring an item to donate to the Greater Rolla Area Charitable Enterprise (GRACE) or the Rolla Mission. Click here for a list of items. The schedule includes:

  • 8 a.m.: Drop off your decorated pumpkin for the pumpkin decorating contest.
  • 8:30 a.m.-noon: Games, music, pumpkin painting and refreshments (s’mores, hot chocolate, hot apple cider, candy and popcorn)
  • 9-11 a.m.: Monster massage (chair massages)
  • 9:30-10 a.m.: Live costume contest (sign up here)

Annual enrollment underway

Annual enrollment is your yearly opportunity to decide which insurance works best for you. Annual enrollment opened Oct. 15 and will close Friday, Oct. 26. During this time, you can make changes to your insurance elections for the 2019 plan year.

Celebrate 50 years of the Curtis Laws Wilson Library at a golden anniversary party noon-2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 26. Chris Maples, interim chancellor, will kick off the event outside the library with remarks, followed by a tie-dye station hosted by student radio station KMNR.

Celebration of Life planned for Joe Keeton

A “Celebration of Life” service in the memory of Joe Keeton will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28, at the Gladstone Community Center in Gladstone, Missouri. Keeton was a former coach in the Missouri S&T athletic department and member of the Miner Athletic Hall of Fame. He passed away Friday, Oct. 5, at the age of 77.
