Army ROTC Stonehenge Battalion conducts field training exercise

The Missouri S&T Stonehenge Battalion recently conducted its fall semester Field Training Exercise at Fort Leonard Wood Oct. 20-22. The event gave cadets an opportunity to hone their individual skills and develop confidence in their ability/equipment to prepare them for their future military careers.

Two faculty win grants to develop technology for commercialization

The College of Engineering and Computing launched a new sustainable energy technology seed grant program. The program’s purpose is to support the development, testing and construction of proof-of-concept technology for commercialization. Dr. Joseph Smith, Laufer Energy Chair and professor of chemical and biochemical engineering, and Dr. Pourya Shamsi, associate professor of electrical and computer engineering, each received $30,000 grants through the program.

Power outage in Norwood Hall planned Dec. 7

A power transformer will be replaced Thursday, Dec. 7. Beginning at 7 a.m. that day, Norwood Hall will not have electrical power. The installation should be completed by noon; however, depending on unforeseen issues, the outage could last all day.
