Missouri S&T will take part in Missouri’s statewide tornado drill at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 11.
This drill was rescheduled from Severe Weather Preparedness Week, originally held March 2-6. The National Weather Service will test its emergency alert procedures, and local agencies will activate outdoor warning sirens.
A planned power outage is scheduled 6 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday, March 24, to support medium‑voltage electrical work and the installation of a new transformer and switch for Schrenk Hall. Buildings affected include Castleman Hall,
Centennial Hall, the Rolla Building, Schrenk Hall, Toomey Hall and the Welcome Center.
Missouri S&T alumna and member of the S&T Academy of Civil Engineers Nancy Matteoni will speak about her work on major St. Louis infrastructure projects at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, in Room 125 Butler-Carlton Civil Engineering Hall.
