Take a break, connect with others and explore resources to support your well-being during Mental Well-Being Awareness Week. From puppy yoga and free coffee to workshops and support groups, there’s something for every Miner.

Monday, Oct. 12

  • Career Clarity Starts Here: 11 a.m.-1 p.m. | Inside the library. Connect with Career Opportunities and Employer Relations advisers to explore career resources.
  • Miner Friendship Bracelet Day: 11 a.m.-2 p.m. | Welcome Center Ballroom. Make a bracelet and write a welcome note for a prospective Miner.
  • Sleep for Success: 1-3 p.m. | Outside the library. Get practical sleep tips and free resources from Joe’s PEERS.
  • Navigating Interpersonal Conflict: 3-4 p.m. | Parker Hall, Room G1. Learn communication, boundary-setting and conflict-resolution skills with a Student Well-Being counselor. Students only; registration required.
  • Well-Being Ambassador Training: 4-6 p.m. | Butler-Carlton Hall, Room 124. Build the skills to support fellow students through challenging situations.

Tuesday, Oct. 13

  • Stress Less, Study Abroad More: 10-11 a.m. | Inside the library. Pick up a free NeeDoh stress toy and explore study abroad opportunities.
  • Spiritual Well-Being Prayer Tent: 11 a.m.-1 p.m. | Outside the library. Connect with Christian Campus Fellowship and Campus Ministry Association members for prayer and encouragement.
  • Healthy Relationships: 11 a.m.-1 p.m. | Havener Center atrium. Play Plinko and learn about healthy relationships and campus resources.
  • Miner Friendship Bracelet Day: 11 a.m.-2 p.m. | Welcome Center Ballroom. Create a bracelet and welcome message for a prospective student.
  • ADHD/ADD Group: 11 a.m.-noon | Student Health, 910 W. 10th St. Connect with other students and a counselor to explore strategies for managing ADHD-related challenges. Students only; registration required.
  • Homecoming Pumpkin Painting: 1-4 p.m. | Havener Lawn. Decorate a pumpkin and connect with fellow Miners.
  • Puppy Yoga: 3-4 p.m. | Gale Bullman Building, Aerobics Room. Unwind with yoga and puppy cuddles. Limited to 30 participants, first come, first served. Bring a yoga mat if you have one.
  • Topic on the Table: Networking Without Nerves: 4-5 p.m. | Curtis Laws Wilson Library, first floor. Graduate students and postdoctoral scholars can practice networking and communication skills.
  • Fireside Chat with a Counselor: 7-8 p.m. | Fire pits outside Residential Commons and University Commons. Enjoy s’mores and talk with Student Well-Being counselors about stress, anxiety or whatever is on your mind.

Wednesday, Oct. 14

  • We Care About You a Latte: 9-10:30 a.m. | Miner Oasis, first floor of the library. Grab free coffee and connect with the campus community.
  • Power Up Packs: 11 a.m.-1 p.m. | Havener Center atrium. Pick up a personalized kit with tools and resources to support your success and well-being.
  • Anxiety Navigation Lab: Noon-12:30 p.m. | Library, Room 103. Learn practical strategies for managing test anxiety, performance pressure and social stress.

Thursday, Oct. 15

  • Mental Health Screening: 11 a.m.-1 p.m. | Havener Center atrium. Complete a confidential screening, meet Student Well-Being counselors and visit Carrot the Therapy Bunny. Giveaways available while supplies last.
  • Military and Veterans Resource Table: 11 a.m.-noon | Havener Center atrium. Explore resources for military-affiliated students, employees and veterans.
  • Dog Days with Delta Sigma Phi: 11 a.m.-2 p.m. | Toomey Lawn. Take a study break and spend time with dogs.
  • Narcan Training: 3:30-4 p.m. | Havener Center, Room 208, Meramec-Gasconade. Learn to recognize an opioid overdose and administer Narcan. Participation counts toward the Kummer Student Programs Social Responsibility Badge of Entrepreneurial Excellence.
  • Graduate Family Night: 6-8 p.m. | Butler-Carlton Hall, Room 315. Graduate students can bring their families for games, activities and food. All ages welcome.

Friday, Oct. 16

  • Community Conversations: Veterans and Suicide Prevention: 9-10:30 a.m. | Virtual. Join the Missouri Suicide Prevention Network for a conversation about veteran suicide prevention and community support.
  • Waffles, Writing and Wellness: 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. | Havener Center, Ozark Room. Explore writing and wellness while enjoying free waffles, while supplies last.
  • Grandparent Hugs and Cookies: 11 a.m.-1 p.m. | Havener Center atrium. Stop by for cookies, encouragement and connection.
  • International Student Support Group: 11 a.m.-noon | Miner Oasis, Parker Hall, Room G2. Connect with other international students and explore ways to manage stress and navigate change. Students only; registration required.
  • Cat Cafe: Take a Paws: 12:30-2:30 p.m. | Curtis Laws Wilson Library, Room 103. Unwind with cats and visit the pop-up sensory room provided by Student Accessibility and Testing.
  • Safe Space Group: 3-4 p.m. | Parker Hall, Room G1. Join a Student Well-Being counselor and fellow students to explore identity, self-care, relationships and coping skills. Students only; registration required.
