Read More »Arlene Ruth James of Rolla, wife of Dr. William (Bill) James, passed away Jan. 3, at the age of 92. Arlene and Bill were married for more than 71 years. A memorial celebration of her life will be held sometime in May at the James’ residence. Donations are suggested to the William and Arlene James Scholarship Fund in Chemistry at Missouri S&T.

If you know a student who can recite at least 20 consecutive digits of pi, encourage them to brush up on their memorization and register for the contest online. The contest will be held 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26, in the Havener Center. Participants will be recorded and a video of the event will be shared on Pi Day.
