The Society of Professional Hispanic Engineers, student diversity programs, and leadership and cultural programs are hosting Hispanic Heritage Month’s first movie night at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, in Room 204 McNutt Hall. National Latino AIDS Awareness Day

Enroll in a new Zumba class

Enroll in a new Zumba class for faculty and staff. The class will meet 6:45-7:30 a.m. Mondays Oct. 13 – Nov. 17 in the Black Box Theater, Room 143 Castleman Hall. Learn Scottish country dancing

Learn the dances of Mary, Queen of Scots at classes sponsored by the by the Missouri S&T Scottish Country Dancers. Classes meet 7-9 p.m. Tuesdays during the fall semester at the squash courts in the Student Recreation Center. The classes are free and no previous dance experience is required. Cycle with caution around campus

Student council has heard concerns about cyclists riding dangerously and putting pedestrians in danger. Please share the sidewalks and use common courtesy when commuting to and from class. Walkers should stay to the right and please do not take up the full extent of the path. Cyclists should slow down and be more aware of others on the sidewalks. Ebola travel advisory update

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention confirmed the first case of Ebola in the United States on Sept. 30 in Dallas, Texas. Student health would like to remind faculty, staff and students that a travel advisory remains in place for all nonessential travel to West Africa.
