Walter F. Henry, former senior electronics technician in electrical engineering, died on Saturday, Jan. 3. A memorial service is planned for 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 15, in the Havener Center. Henry worked in the electrical and computer engineering department from 1969 to 1979.

Missouri S&T grad student found dead

Malaka Thilakaratne, 33, a Ph.D. student in applied mathematics at Missouri University of Science and Technology, was found dead at an off-campus residence Wednesday, Jan. 14. The Rolla Police Department responded to the scene and is investigating the death. No foul play is suspected. More information can be found on the S&T News site.

ID office reopens

The MinerCard ID office is now open. Its hours are 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday through Friday. The deadline to get a new MinerCard at no cost has been extended until Friday, Feb. 13. All students, faculty and staff are eligible to receive one new MinerCard at no cost upon surrender of their current card. Students, faculty and staff who do not have their current card will pay a $15 replacement fee. For more information, email Tara Stone.
