Students can learn about business plan essentials
Missouri S&T students with entrepreneurial visions can advance their ideas and win prize money by participating in the Entrepreneur Quest (EQ) Student Accelerator, a new University of Missouri System program. Dr. Jeff Hornsby will present “Essentials of a Business Plan” 5:30-7:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 8, in Room G-2 of the Interdisciplinary Engineering Building (IDE).

Writing consultations will be available beginning Monday, Jan. 23. Consultants can provide feedback and guidance on any document for any class — and it is free. The Writing Center offers:
- Scheduled consultations, available 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, and 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Fridays in the Writing Center, located in Room 113 of the Campus Support Facility
- Walk-in assistance, 4-7 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, in the Residential Commons
- Walk-in assistance, 1-5 p.m. Sundays in the Writing Center, Room 113 of the Campus Support Facility
‘Active shooter’ response training on campus today
University Police is hosting response training for approximately 40 law enforcement officers Wednesday, Jan. 11, on Missouri S&T’s campus. Participants will take classes in Bertelsmeyer Hall during the morning and undergo scenario training with replica weapons in Harris Hall in the afternoon.
