‘Active shooter’ response training on campus today

University Police is hosting response training for approximately 40 law enforcement officers Wednesday, Jan. 11, on Missouri S&T’s campus. Participants will take classes in Bertelsmeyer Hall during the morning and undergo scenario training with replica weapons in Harris Hall in the afternoon.

The training is sponsored by the FBI field office in St. Louis. It will focus on the response of law enforcement in this community in the event of an active shooter incident on campus. In addition to police officers undergoing the training, staff members at the Rolla Fire Department and S&T’s student health services have been invited to observe.
