Mini-Electronics show

Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering will be hosting a mini-electronics trade show in the atrium of Toomey hall on Thursday (April 18th) from 10:00 until 2:00.
included in the show will be the following vendors:
• John Gampper = Tektronix / Keithley
• Steve Fulwider = Keysight
• Jeff Benke = Weller, Apex Tools, TechSpray and Science scope
• Dan Heaghney = BEI Sensors, Crydom / Crouzet, Qualtek,, Schroff, Sola, TT Electronics
• Rich Sartori = APEM, Bourns, CDE, IDEC, Sanyo Denke and a few others
• Scott Stocking = Wago (lots of different stuff)
• Brian Rumpf = Tyco (even more stuff)
• Dave Willand = Newark / Element 14
All faculty, staff and students are welcome to stop by and see the current product lines from these vendors and discuss any upcoming instrumentation needs.

Marketing analytics guest lecture on text mining

As part of MKT 5001 (Marketing Analytics) class, I have organized this speaker session on Tuesday, April 16th at 2pm in Bertelsmyer B12B. Faculty, staff, and students are more than welcome to attend the session. The speaker will join us through Zoom conference. Dr. Jonathan Frey is recently retired from his position as Director of Operations Intelligence at Taco Bell Corporation, where he served for 15 years as a data scientist for Operations, Finance, IT, R&D, and HR related projects. Prior to joining Taco Bell, Jonathan served as a Product Development Manager at Mars for 13 years and at Kraft, Inc. as a Research Scientist for 4 years. He holds a B.S. in Bacteriology and a Ph.D. in Food Microbiology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Perform in the Rolla Town Band this summer

Area musicians are invited to join the Rolla Town Band this summer. The band is open to brass, woodwind, and percussion players age 14 and older. There are no auditions to join and players of all abilities are welcome, including those who have not played in recent years. The band will perform five concerts throughout June and July. All five concerts are free and open to the public.
