Fiscal services to close Oct. 22

Fiscal services, which includes the departments of cashier’s, accounting, student loan collections, and budget, will be closed on Thursday, Oct. 22, so staff can attend an off-campus workshop. All offices will resume regular business hours on Friday, Oct. 23.

MinerBytes user group meeting

Join the Teaching Partners Program

A new, confidential professional development service is now available to faculty at Missouri S&T. The “Teaching Partners Program” pairs trained faculty mentors, known for their excellence in teaching, with interested instructors to go through a process of classroom peer observation and feedback. Staff instructional designers are also part of the team and will provide additional pedagogical support and encouragement.

EMSE Halloween Costume Contest and Chili Cook-Off

Engineering management and systems engineering’s annual Costume Contest and Chili Cook-Off will be held 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30, in the Engineering Management Building’s second floor lobby. To enter the chili cook-off, visit the front desk in Room 223 Engineering Management Building or email emgt@mst.edu. Chili entries will be accepted in Room 223 until 10 a.m. that Friday. Judging takes place in the lobby at 10:45 a.m. Participants must bring a list of the ingredients with a chili recipe.

STEP UP! training session

Bystander Intervention open training session 5:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14, in St. Pat’s Ballroom of the Havener Center. STEP UP! training touches on what bystander intervention is, how to recognize a problematic situation and how to STEP UP! when something occurs. The training is open to all members of the S&T campus.
