In appreciation for the work and dedication of Missouri S&T staff, Staff Council invites all staff to join them for free hot chocolate and hot apple cider 9-10:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 30, at the Puck. A Staff I.D. is required for admission. Staff Council will also have a pumpkin-carving contest that day. Drop off a carved pumpkin between 8:30-8:45 a.m. to the tent at the Puck. After voting, the winning pumpkin will receive a sweatshirt from the S&T Store.

Current users and members of the campus community interested in MinerBytes can share tips, discuss experiences and plan for a more unified, organized future for digital signage across campus at a meeting at noon Wednesday, Nov. 4, in Room 103 Curtis Laws Wilson Library. Lunch will be served. Seating is limited, so registration is required.

Do you know students struggling with test anxiety? Let them know that counseling, disability support and student wellness will present a three-session workshop to help students manage their anxiety and perform better academically. “Geeks for God” Campus Ministry will host its annual fundraiser trivia night at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6, at the Family Center located at 803 N. Main St. in Rolla. The night’s theme is “Time Warp.” All proceeds directly benefits students by paying for the Campus Ministry’s annual alternative spring break mission trip. Physical facilities will begin balcony-level bleacher maintenance today (Thursday, Oct. 29) in the Gale Bullman Building. The work will be completed during the next two to three weeks. For more information, contact Mike Bassett at 341-4044.

Learn more about Missouri S&T’s new brand identity initiative at a series of open forums in November and December. S&T’s marketing and communications department is hosting the sessions to inform the campus community of the new branding initiative and goals.

While the university continues to inspect and address issues at the Chancellor’s Residence on the Missouri University of Science and Technology campus, Chancellor Cheryl B. Schrader and her family are moving a second time this semester. In August, the chancellor and her family moved into Missouri S&T’s Residential College. This week, the Schraders will move off-campus to a residence that is better suited for both a family and an extended stay, located in the Quarry Subdivision east of Rolla.

The office of graduate studies will host a Halloween party for graduate students and their families 2-5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30, at the Puck. There will be food, games, and lots of fun. We hope to see you there! For more information, call 341-6927.
