Training available for new myHR, PeopleSoft HR systems
The University of Missouri System launched new, upgraded versions of myHR and PeopleSoft HR on July 31. This was a years-long effort involving human resources, payroll and IT professionals across the University of Missouri System. Read More »Staff scholarship goes to Lt. Oscar Kemp
Like the students he serves and protects, Lt. Oscar Kemp will be hitting the books this semester. Beth Abner, president of Staff Council, presented the council’s inaugural employee scholarship to Kemp, an officer with University Police, during a Staff Council meeting on July 13. The $250 scholarship will go towards Kemp’s tuition this fall as he pursues a bachelor’s degree.

Within the first week of installing a new security camera system, University Police used the cameras to help identify suspects in a campus theft and delivery of a suspicious package placed near Missouri S&T’s nuclear reactor.

Read More »RMU asks to reduce electrical usage
With the forecasted high temperatures this week, Rolla Municipal Utilities officials have asked the campus to try to reduce electrical outage usage during the peak hours of 3-6 p.m. today (Thursday, July 20) and tomorrow (Friday, July 21). Officials don’t want any reduction to be disruptive to the normal course of business, but appreciate efforts to eliminate unneeded use. For example, individuals are encouraged to turn off unnecessary lights in their workplaces. The facilities operations staff will monitor the heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems during this time and adjust accordingly.
