Box Office announces spring break hours

The Leach Theatre Box Office will operate with reduced hours during spring break. The box office will be open 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday, March 26, through Friday, March 30. The box office will resume regular hours of 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday, April 2.

Give your feedback on Rolla’s 10-year plan

The Rolla Public Works Department will showcase projects proposed in the next 10 years during an open house 4:30-7:30 p.m. Monday, March 12, at The Center at 1200 Holloway St. The public’s input is sought on several projects that are in the planning stages. Among the plans are projects within the Move Rolla Transportation Development District (TDD) program, which is a partnership of the City of Rolla, Missouri S&T, Phelps County Regional Medical Center, and the Missouri Department of Transportation.

Step back in time, learn history of St. Pat’s Day

Are you ready for the best ever St. Pat’s? Join S&T’s library and archives staff to learn about the history of our university’s St. Pat’s celebrations. Journey back to 1908 and through World War II and experience how students, faculty and staff celebrated St. Patrick’s Day. Please register online for Monday, March 12, or Thursday, March 15. Sleep next topic on tap in lecture series

When we don’t get enough sleep, we may have a hard time thinking, be cranky and  slowly damage our bodies, which can lead to health problems like diabetes and cardiovascular issues. Dr. Matthew Thimgan, assistant professor of biological sciences, will talk about sleep at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 7, at the next “Research on Tap” lecture on the second-floor loft of Public House Brewing Co. in Rolla. The talk begins at 6:30 p.m. but please arrive early to grab a seat and maybe a drink.

Register today for ‘Gonzo Gives Back’ service day
