Student Success announces key appointments
Missouri S&T has appointed five new leaders to the Student Success division to support its goal of nurturing student achievement and academic excellence. Joining the S&T community are Leticia Steffen, assistant vice chancellor of academic achievement and enrichment, Josh Gruenke, director of student involvement, Kristin Salas, senior director of academic advising, Cris Sheffel retention specialist, and Alexandra Gast, communications and promotions manager. Please give these new faces a Miner welcome when you see them.

The promotion of diet culture through social media has increased body dissatisfaction among women, men and teens. Join Marie-Laure Firebaugh, a licensed master social worker and director of the Body U Program in the Center for Healthy Weight and Wellness at Washington University in St. Louis, for “Unfiltered: Building Confidence in the Social Media Era,” 2-3 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 25, in Room 124 Butler-Carlton Civil Engineering Hall.

Get tickets to see the Dallas String Quartet
The Dallas String Quartet is coming to Leach Theatre Friday, Feb. 21. The show will begin at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $35 for the public, $30 for Missouri S&T faculty and staff, and $10 for youth up to age 18 and Missouri S&T students.
