Counseling services will offer walk-in consultation hours beginning today (Monday, April 1). The walk-in consultation service is for students seeking counseling services for the first time and students who have an urgent need to speak with a counselor before a scheduled appointment.

April 1 is registration deadline for transportation infrastructure conference
Learn about advances in transportation infrastructure at the seventh annual Transportation Infrastructure Conference, hosted by S&T and the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT).The conference will be held Monday, April 22, at the Havener Center.

Missouri S&T’s myPerformance process opened on March 15 for employees to begin completing their self-evaluations. The deadline for these self-appraisals is Sunday, March 31. Deadlines and resources are posted online to help guide and keep the process on track.

‘Newsies’ debuts tonight at Leach Theatre
The Broadway musical Newsies is coming to Leach Theatre, with 23 individuals who are affiliated with Missouri S&T performing in the cast or orchestra. Show times are 7 p.m. nightly March 28-30, April 1-2, and April 4-6. A matinee will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 30. Staff spotlight: Jim Duncan
Summer is a busy time for S&T’s landscape crew and this July will mark a milestone for the team’s supervisor, Jim Duncan. July 20 will be his 42-year work anniversary at the university. That’s right – Duncan started working at Missouri S&T in 1977. “I’ve seen a lot of changes, a lot of history,” Duncan says.

The Center for Advancing Faculty Excellence (CAFE) announces that Dr. Irina Ivliyeva, professor of arts, languages and philosophy, will be the next assistant chair of CAFE, beginning June 1. Her appointment will last through May 31, 2020, at which time she will become chair.

A memorial service will be held for Rosia Fowler during worship services beginning at 11:15 a.m. Sunday, March 31, at New Dimensional Christian Ministries. Fowler was a cook in the Havener Center and a familiar face in campus dining services at S&T for 18 years.
