Notification of student death

The Missouri S&T community is saddened to learn of the death of Missouri S&T student Clay Landoll of Nevada, Missouri, who died over the weekend. Clay was 19 and was pursuing a bachelor’s degree in metallurgical engineering.

Flags to fly at half-staff today

By order of U.S. President Donald Trump, the United States flag at all state and government offices will be flown at half-staff until sunset today (Friday, Oct. 18), in memory of Rep. Elijah E. Cummings. Cummings, who was one of Maryland’s representatives, died Thursday, Oct. 17.

Funeral arrangements announced for Jimmy Williams

James “Jimmy” Dale Williams passed away Oct. 16 at age 81. Williams was a retiree of Missouri S&T and had represented Rolla’s Ward 5 as a city councilman since 1990.
