Dr. Hu Yang will begin his new role as chair of chemical and biochemical engineering at Missouri S&T on Saturday, Aug. 1. Yang comes to Rolla from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) where he is the Qimonda Endowed Chair in chemical and life science engineering, biomedical engineering, and pharmaceutics.
Read More »Robert Marshall Brackbill, trustee emeritus and past president of the Miner Alumni Association, died May 15 at age 100. Brackbill earned a bachelor’s degree in mining engineering from S&T in 1942. He loved Rolla and was a strong supporter of the university and the Sigma Nu fraternity throughout his life.
