Help Desk hours announced
The walk-in center for the IT Help Desk at Curtis Law Wilson Library is currently closed and will remain closed through Monday, May 31, for floor maintenance and the holiday weekend. The Help Desk will begin its summer hours Tuesday, June 1.

The information technology (IT) department has begun migrating email resource mailboxes to shared mailboxes beginning with departments that have multiple people accessing a mailbox. Please create a Help Desk request with a list of people in your department who need access to the shared mailbox.

In August, everyone will begin using the new University of Missouri System instance of Canvas. Students can save their work before August by following these instructions. Faculty do not need to do this — all of the course and student content is archived for records retention.

Dr. Robert John Bell, age 86, former physics professor at S&T, died May 9 in San Antonio, Texas. He served S&T’s physics department from 1965 until his retirement in 1992.

Read More »New COVID-19 guidance for faculty, staff and students
Effective Monday, May 17, all Missouri S&T students, faculty and staff are no longer required to wear a facial covering or physically distance when outdoors. However, for their own safety and the safety and protection of others, all unvaccinated students, faculty and staff are encouraged to continue to wear facial coverings and socially distance while outdoors. (This is a recommendation but not a requirement.)
