A new campus landmark honors a leader’s legacy. Come celebrate the expansion of the Puck into the new Jack Carney Puck and Plaza at 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 8, 2021.
Thanks to the vision of Missouri S&T emeritus Trustees Jim Bertelsmeyer and Roger Dorf and Trustee Gary Havener, and the generosity of other trustees and alumni, the university is raising the visibility of “The Puck” in honor of the late Chancellor John “Jack” F. Carney III (1941-2019).
Carney led our university from 2005 to 2011 and is beloved and remembered for his warmth, humor and steadfast commitment to the S&T mission.
