ASCE president-elect to speak at S&T
Dr. Dennis D. Truax, the 2022 president of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), will present “Engineering Our Future” at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 20, in Room 125 of Butler-Carlton Hall. He will discuss how ASCE envisions building a better infrastructure system using new methods and advanced materials to support a sustainable, inclusive, and equitable society.

Dr. Rich Wlezien, vice provost and dean of the College of Engineering and Computing since 2017, has announced his plans to step down from the position in August to return to a faculty appointment in mechanical and aerospace engineering.
