NSF funds S&T shale oil recovery research

With a $410,000 grant from the National Science Foundation, S&T researchers are developing a process to improve oil recovery at shale oil reservoirs. The work would optimize the gas injection process that decreases the energy needed for oil extraction and reduces the need to dig new oil wells.
