Fitness center reopens, recreation center will be classroom

Missouri S&T’s Fitness Center reopened on Aug. 18 for students. To meet the latest COVID-19 safety recommendations, the fitness center will have reduced capacity limits. It will be open 8 a.m.-2 p.m. through Friday, Aug. 21 and resume regular hours of operation on Monday, Aug. 24.

S&T receives additional NSF grant to train cybersecurity experts

Missouri S&T researchers will continue to combat cybersecurity threats by training the next generation of experts in the field with a $225,000 grant from the National Science Foundation. This additional grant brings the S&T program’s total to over $3 million in funding.

S&T wins $1.5 million NSF award to create spectrometer

Missouri S&T has received a $1.5 million award from the National Science Foundation to develop a new rotational microwave spectrometer. The instrument will be used by several universities to collect some of the most detailed information available about the structure of gas phase molecules.
