The winners of the Miners Solving for Tomorrow Research Conference have been announced after evaluation by 20 volunteer judges. The annual event, held April 2-3 at the Innovation Lab, featured combined undergraduate and graduate presentations for the first time, with 97 participants overall.

Faculty commencement rental regalia orders are due Wednesday, April 9. Regalia sets come with a gown, cap and tassel. Let the store know if you have your own hood. Regalia will be available for pick up the week of commencement. Payment is due at the time of pickup.

Plan your best summer yet: Faculty workshop on productivity and relaxation

All faculty are invited to a workshop on “Planning for a Productive Summer,” noon-1 p.m. Wednesday, May 7, in Room 125 Butler-Carlton Civil Engineering Hall. This workshop will offer a step-by-step process to create a realistic summer plan to make progress on important scholarly projects and allow time for rest and relaxation.

Apply for summer 2025 Teaching Toolkit Program by today

Teaching professors of all ranks are encouraged to apply for the four-week summer Teaching Toolkit Program offered by the National Center for Faculty Development and Diversity (NCFDD). This program is especially designed for faculty who are relatively new to teaching or who are returning to the classroom after a hiatus. Applications are due Monday, April 7.
