Windows 11 transition progress

In 2023, the S&T information technology team began work on a transition to the Windows 11 operating system and started communicating with employees, so campus computers comply with UM System information security policies and guidelines. This fall Microsoft will stop supporting the Windows 10 operating system.
IT has a goal to transition computers running Windows 10 off the main network by the end of fall 2025. Any campus-managed computer running Windows 10 after Thursday, April 10, no longer allows users to log in unless an exception has been approved by S&T IT.
Who is affected?
All users with campus managed computers running Windows.
Windows 11 transition progress:
As of Wednesday, May 14, IT has updated or replaced 92% of computers for Windows 11.
