Faculty members are invited to an open forum regarding the vice provost and dean search process 1-2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 18, in the Missouri Ozark Room in Havener Center. The topic of discussion will be legal requirements and national best practices related to 10 steps discussed at a recent Faculty Senate meeting. Guest speakers will include Marsha Fischer, counsel for the University of Missouri System, and Michael Aldana, partner at Quarles & Brady, LLP and legal consultant to IBIS, a diversity and organizational development firm.

The Spring 2017 Schedule of Classes information is now available on the registrar’s website or through Joe’SS. Information about priority registration, which begins Monday, Oct. 31, has been sent to students and faculty. Please direct questions to the registrar’s office.

The Educational Technology department seeks software requests from instructors for computer learning centers (CLCs). To request software, please visit edtech.mst.edu/clc and submit your request by 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4.

The St. Pat’s Celebration Committee is accepting nominations for queens and knights for the 109th annual Best Ever St. Pat’s in March 2017. Phelps County Regional Medical Center (PCRMC) and LabCorp have entered into an agreement to offer in-network laboratory services. Missouri S&T employees can get a blood lab order from any physician drawn at Phelps County Regional Medical Center and processed by LabCorp, an in-network lab service with United Healthcare.

Is your medicine cabinet filled with unneeded medicine? Faculty, staff and students are encouraged to bring their unused or expired medications to the Havener Center from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 21. Joe’s PEERS and the University Police are hosting the event as part of the Drug Enforcement Administration’s National Prescription Drug Take-Back Initiative.
