The Center for Infrastructure Engineering Studies (CIES) invites the campus community to a seminar by Dr. Thomas Kang, a visiting professor at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and an associate professor at Seoul National University. Kang will present “Computational Design of Unbonded Post-tensioned Concrete Structures” 4-5 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9, in Room 124 Butler-Carlton Hall. Refreshments will be served. The campus literary and arts magazine, SOUTHWINDS, is seeking poetry, short stories, photos and original art for its annual fall creativity contest. Suggested themes include food, the supernatural and time, but all submissions will be considered. Winners will be selected in each category and receive a prize. Encourage students to apply for summer Congressional internship

Missouri S&T is seeking applications from students to serve as a Congressional intern in Washington, D.C., during the summer of 2017. The university will pay the housing expenses of the selected S&T student, who will be in D.C. from June 3 to July 29, 2017.
