Sexual Assault Awareness Week starts Nov. 5

Missouri S&T’s SSexual Assault Awareness Week starts Nov. 5exual Assault Awareness Week (SAAW) will launch at the Miner football game Saturday, Nov. 5. The week is dedicated to raising awareness of sexual assault on college campuses. Get a full schedule. Events will include:

• During the week, check out the SAAW booth at the Curtis Laws Wilson Library, where you can get a “not on my campus” wristband.

• Join “Take Back the Night” at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9. The walk will start at the Havener Center and will be followed by a panel discussion. Free pizza and refreshments will be provided.

• Top off the week with pie throwing at a willing Sigma Phi Epsilon or campus community member 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Curtis Laws Wilson Library Thursday, Nov. 10.

• Enjoy wings and onion rings for dinner at the Sigma Phi Epsilon house 4-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11.

Events are sponsored by Missouri S&T’s Sigma Phi Epsilon chapter; Step Up!; Joe’s PEERS; counseling, disability support and student wellness; institutional equity, diversity and inclusion; and residential life.
