New lab safety training available

New lab safety training modules are available online for students and faculty. This training replaces the previous General Laboratory Safety Training (GLST) courses and is mandatory for S&T graduate students who work in research labs and research faculty. To access the training, visit the Missouri S&T training website and log in using your university password.

Forums planned tomorrow on UM System investments

Expect emergency alert test Oct. 3

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) are pushing out a test of the nationwide Emergency Alert System at 1:18 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3. Every cell phone will likely receive this alert. The alert message will be a presidential alert and the text will read “THIS IS A TEST of the National Wireless Emergency Alert System. No action is needed.”
