Students to practice the art of pitching ideas

An “Elevator Pitch” competition will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, in the Havener Center (room TBD) on the Missouri S&T campus. During the competition, S&T students will have 90 seconds, about the duration of an average elevator ride, to communicate a business idea or concept and compete for prizes.

Fall Zip Lock Lunch Series begins Oct. 6

Counseling and disability support services will begin its fall 2008 Zip Lock Lunch Series with “Reading Made Easy,” to be held from noon-12:45 p.m. Monday, Oct. 6, in Room 208 Norwood Hall. The workshop will introduce the assistive technology available to students struggling to maintain focus, or for the auditory learner.
