Study abroad programs canceled for fall 2020
After evaluating the recommendations and advice from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the U.S. Department of State, and guidance from the UM System, Missouri S&T has decided to cancel all fall 2020 study abroad programs.

The vice chancellor of research and graduate studies office will host a workshop on Tuesday, Aug. 11, focused on applying for the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP). The workshop will be held via Zoom; RSVP online to attend all or part of the workshop. Registration closes Thursday, Aug. 6.

Student diversity initiatives encourages you to celebrate Juneteenth on Friday, June 19. Juneteenth is the oldest nationally celebrated commemoration of the ending of slavery in the United States. Dating back to 1865, it was on June 19 that Union soldiers, led by Major General Gordon Granger, landed at Galveston, Texas, with news that the war had ended and that the enslaved were now free.
