In April 2024, the Department of Justice published a new rule on digital accessibility under Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act. This regulation requires public higher education institutions to provide fully accessible digital content by April 24, 2026.
The Center for Advancing Faculty Excellence (CAFE) and the Digital Accessibility Task Force invite all faculty and staff to attend a virtual training session on digital accessibility. These interactive sessions will help you enhance the accessibility of course content, websites, mass communications and more.

This training serves as a strong starting point and will address the needs of most users. For those with more specialized roles or responsibilities—including web developers—additional, more detailed training will follow.
