Use new self-install software on S&T Windows computers

In May, IT installed the ThreatLocker application on S&T-managed Windows computers to enable one-click elevation for approved software installations.

What is changing?
Over the past year, the IT team has worked with faculty and staff to streamline how approved software is installed. When administrative privileges are required to install or use approved software, select Request ThreatLocker Elevation at the prompt. The IT team plans to review requests and provide a same-business-day response. Over time, the system learns commonly approved applications and may grant immediate approval. Departments with specialized needs can work with IT to tailor approval processes for specific software.

Who is affected?
All users of S&T-managed Windows computers.
