The UM Talent Management program is recruiting the next Administrative Leadership Development (ALDP) class. Like last year, they will not print brochures or send materials directly to potential candidates. Candidates and nominees are encouraged download download the brochure and application. Please note: this program is intended for professional staff, not faculty; the LDP program is designed for faculty.

More information about ALDP, the brochure and the application are also available on the webpage. Applications are due by Friday, Dec. 7. This earlier deadline, similar to last year’s, will avoid holiday delays and will allow a better schedule for the participants to do their pre-retreat work.
Who is eligible?
Mid- to high-level leaders of administrative units, typically directors, associate or assistant directors, are invited to participate in the program. Due to the variety of job responsibilities within titles, applicants are not restricted to directors. In addition to the following criteria that are posted on the ALDP webpage, a diverse population of participants is sought:

  • Demonstrated performance as an administrative leader
  • Leadership to units with a significant impact on services and resources of the university
  • Potential for advancement to other leadership roles
  • Demonstrated interest in personal and professional development
  • Ability to attend all sessions and activities of the program
  • Active support of supervisor(s) and unit
  • Willing to serve as a “peer coach” to others in the program

Email Laura Stoll, vice provost and dean for enrollment management, or Carl Burns, assistant vice chancellor for student affairs, for additional information.
