The 23rd Annual UMR Transfer Conference is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 11. More than 20 representatives from UMR transfer partner colleges and universities will be on the UMR campus to discuss issues and programs relevant to UMR transfer students, who currently make up nearly 30 percent of all new UMR students each year.

UMR police officer Leonard Cook Jr. was arrested Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2007, on charges of second-degree statutory sodomy and possession of child pornography on his personal computer.
